Chuck Schuldiner (1967-2001) was a musical innovator. Chuck is best known for being the founder, singer, guitar player and main songwriter of Death, which he founded in 1983 and developed into one of the first death metal bands. Many music biographers have referred to Schuldiner as the father of death metal.
